What is the Demand for Skilled Professionals in Australia in 2024?

The Australian labor market has identified key sectors expected to experience high demand until 2024:

Among the over 200 occupations on the Skilled Migration list, we have highlighted Australia’s top 50 most sought-after jobs. This selection is based on the recently updated Occupation ceilings set by the government.
Discover how you can leverage this information and explore pathways for skilled professionals to migrate to Australia in this informative read.

    Understanding Occupation Ceilings:

Occupation Ceilings limit the number of Expression of Interest (EOI) or invitations issued by the Australian Government for specific occupation groups. This ensures a balanced distribution among different occupations accessible to skilled professionals.
It’s important to note that, until the following year, no additional invitations will be extended for occupation groups that surpass the established limit. However, these ceilings do not apply to State or Territory Nominated Occupations, Employer-Sponsored positions, or Business Innovation and Investment visa subclasses.

Application Process for Professional Skilled Migration to Australia

    Step 1: Accreditation

An accrediting body assesses your occupation type, educational qualifications, and work experience to ensure they meet Australian standards. Upon approval, you receive a letter of accreditation, with different occupations having distinct accrediting bodies. The decision is typically communicated within 2 to 3 months.

    Step 2: English Language Test

Attain a minimum score of 6 out of 9 in each of the four language skills (speaking, reading, writing, and listening) in your IELTS exam.

    Step 3: EOI and ITA

Initiate the visa application process through Skill Select by submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI). The Australian Government will extend an invitation for you to apply for the skilled visa based on your EOI.

    Step 4: State Nomination Application

If your occupation is in demand in a specific state, apply for state government nomination. Results for nomination applications are typically received within 1 to 4 weeks.

    Step 5: Online Visa Application

Compile your application with certified copies of professional and work experience documents, certified translations, and other necessary formal documents.

Step 6: Medical Exams and Police Certificates

Undergo a medical examination conducted by a local doctor registered with the Australian Embassy. Additionally, provide a police clearance certificate affirming 12 months of residence in the country over the last ten years.
