You must have also heard about the different pilot programs and the former ones that later became permanent programs because of their massive success. Similarly, there is another immigration stream currently trending- Canada’s Global Talent Stream.
So, let’s know more about this stream from our best Canada Visa Consultants.

Some of Canada's Global Talent Stream's highlights

    Canada’s Global Talent Stream

The Canadian government accelerated the process of issuing work permits for eligible employees under the Global Talent Stream program by 2 weeks. Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada jointly oversee and administer this program (IRCC).

Among the main elements of Canada’s immigration plan was first presented in 2017 and is called the Global Talent Stream. Canada is a friendly country for emerging talent from throughout the world. For the past three to five years, the job market in Canada has improved.

Global Talent Stream: What is it?

Global Talent Stream is a visa program that assists Canadian firms in employing foreign employees for specialized occupations, especially when there aren’t any Canadians available to fulfill the vacancies for those particular professions.
When there is a pressing demand for highly trained individuals, Global Talent Stream (GTS) is regarded as the ideal answer. Lately, around 5,000 jobs were acquired through this GTS program.

    GTS and its classifications

Generally, the Temporary Foreign Worker Program is used to handle applications for the Global Talent Stream. This involves a large number of work permits allowing immigrants to enter the country for the first time with a temporary employment permit in order to address the necessary labor shortage.
The following categories must be met by the Canadian employer in order to be eligible for the Global Talent Stream.

    Category A: Designated Partner Referral

Employers from Canada must meet the requirements of category A, seek a recommendation from one of the recognized partner organizations of the Global Personnel Stream, and use unique and specialized talent.

    Category B: In-Demand Job

Employers from Canada must recruit the best foreign workers to fill positions on the Global Talent Occupations List in order to qualify under category B. The list includes in-demand, highly skilled jobs. The employee must also pay compensation that is equivalent to or higher than that of the specific position.
The business can start the Global Talent Stream application as soon as they receive confirmation that the streams are eligible. Employers can download the application form from the GTS site and send it by email, fax, or digitally. Along with the employment offer, wage scale, and perks, the application also needs information about the employer and the migrant worker.

How does the global talent stream's workflow operate?

The Global Talent Stream will only accept applications from Canadian employers, so a foreign worker seeking to join it and obtain a temporary work permit to travel to Canada cannot do it on their own.
Finding a job offer from a Canadian company that is approved for this program is the first and foremost goal. Furthermore, your skill must fit into specific employment in Canada.
The Global Talent Stream, which is regarded as an effective route for permanent immigration to Canada, grants temporary work permits for a period of about three years.

The routes to obtaining a work visa in Canada

The processing time for visa applications for the global talent stream, one of the temporary foreign worker programs that issue Canadian work permits, is two weeks. Due to a delay in submissions before immigration and refugee, this service used to be quite burdensome.
Companies can hire in foreign countries by using the Express Entry System stream. The candidates who meet the requirements are referred to as an expression of interest and are included in the federal immigration program’s express entry pool or a provincial nominal program (PNP). Applications could be sent digitally after being filled out.
