In a series of recent draws conducted by the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP), a diverse range of candidates have received Notifications of Interest (NOIs), indicating their eligibility to apply for provincial nomination through the Express Entry system. The draws, held on various dates in August, targeted different priority sectors and pathways, showcasing Alberta’s commitment to attracting skilled workers in a variety of fields.
On August 22, 2023, the AINP sent out a total of 89 NOIs to candidates with a focus on the construction sector. These candidates held Alberta job offers within the construction occupation and possessed Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 300 to 500. The lowest-ranked candidate who received an NOI had a CRS score of 303.

In an effort to bolster its healthcare workforce, Alberta conducted a draw on August 15, 2023, specifically for candidates in the healthcare field. Fourteen NOIs were issued to candidates with Alberta job offers through the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, and they possessed CRS scores of 300 and above. The lowest CRS score in this draw was 326.
The AINP draw held on August 3, 2023, prioritized candidates with family connections and primary occupations in demand in Alberta. A total of 201 NOIs were sent out to candidates with CRS scores ranging from 300 to 500. This draw allowed candidates with a CRS score of 315 and above to be considered for provincial nomination.
At the beginning of the month, the province continued its focus on multiple sectors. On August 1, 2023, the AINP issued 32 NOIs to candidates with Alberta job offers in the agriculture occupation.
These candidates had CRS scores ranging from 300 to 500, with the lowest CRS score being 322. Additionally, 11 NOIs were sent out to candidates through the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, who possessed Alberta job offers and CRS scores of 300 and above. The lowest CRS score for this draw was 317.
These draws highlight Alberta’s ongoing efforts to address labor shortages in various sectors and promote economic growth through skilled immigration. Candidates who receive NOIs from Alberta have the opportunity to apply for a provincial nomination, which, if successful, can significantly boost their chances of obtaining Canadian permanent residency.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to regularly monitor the AINP’s draw updates and ensure their profiles are up to date in the Express Entry system to maximize their chances of receiving a Notification of Interest.
