British Columbia Invites Skilled Immigration Candidates in Latest Draw
In its ongoing efforts to attract top-tier talent and bolster key sectors, British Columbia (BC) conducted its most recent Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on August 15, issuing a total of 157 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to skilled immigration candidates.
Skilled Worker
The draw primarily targeted candidates within the Skilled Worker, International Graduate (including EEBC option) stream. Of the total ITAs issued, a significant portion, 107 ITAs, were designated for candidates under the Targeted Tech draw. This subgroup witnessed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cutoff of 88 points, demonstrating the province’s determination to welcome tech-savvy individuals who can contribute to BC’s rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Furthermore, the draw exhibited BC’s commitment to bolstering its education and childcare sectors. Within this framework, 28 ITAs were allotted for the Targeted draw focusing on Early Childhood Educators and Assistants (NOC 42202) candidates, with a CRS cutoff of 60 points. Another 19 ITAs were extended to candidates in the health sector through the Targeted Health draw, mirroring the same CRS threshold of 60 points.
CRS score of 60 points
In alignment with BC’s broader economic and labor market priorities, the remaining 4 ITAs were granted to candidates belonging to Other Priority Occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104) within the province. These candidates also secured a CRS score of 60 points.
The province’s proactive approach to inviting candidates with specific skill sets underlines its commitment to addressing critical labor shortages and supporting vital sectors that contribute to British Columbia’s growth and prosperity.
British Columbia’s PNP remains an attractive pathway for skilled immigrants seeking to forge a new life in this vibrant province. As the province continues to conduct targeted draws, it reinforces its position as a destination of choice for individuals aspiring to contribute to its diverse and dynamic economy.
