The latest Draw in Canada was announced on 25 May 2022. Under Canada Express Entry System, the maple leaf had invited 589 applicants to apply for Canada Permanent Resident card. IRCC seeks to receive more than 110,000 migrants via Express Entry by 2024

In this draw, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited candidate who a received nomination in previous round. As a result in the latest draw the cut-off CSR Score is relatively high compared to other draws i.e. 741.

Candidates under Express Entry Profile who have a Provincial Nominee Program nomination robotically got 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score, which are added to their base score. Express Entry draws for FSWP and CEC nominees to start again in July.

 According to the reports of Canada’s Immigration Minister Sean Fraser, The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws within express entry will commence from the month of July. The Draws for FSWP have been stopped from the time of December 2020 and CEC from September 2021.

Currently, the processing time for the above programs is well beyond IRCC’s six-month target. IRCC has temporarily suspended draws for these applicants to assign resources to clear the fast-track registration backlog, which has been exacerbated by the pandemic.

As per reports, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has doubled the figure of permanent residents by giving Canadian Citizenship to 1, 56,000 applicants during the time period from January 1 and March 31, 2022.
