Canada held the 3rd Express Entry draw in a row for candidates who had provincial nominations to apply for permanent residence on 13th October 2021. Including the latest draw, Canada has now held 20 draws just for PNP candidates this year.
The immigration controlling body of Canada, IRCC issued 681 invitations to candidates who had scores of at least 720. Out of the cutoff score, i.e., 720, the candidates holding the Provincial Nomination Program(PNP) nomination were awarded an automatic 600 points as an advantage to their total CRS score. The latest draw had fewer PNP candidates with higher scores in the pool.
By 2021, IRCC has invited only PNP and Canadian Experience Class Candidates through the bi-weekly Express Entry draws and has not held any all-program Express Entry draw since December 2020.
When compared, IRCC issued a total of 107,350 invitations for Express Entry in the year 2020 and 110,377 Express Entry invitations by 2021.
The cut-off scores have been varying depending on:
If the draw was specific to the CEC or PNP
The number of candidates in the pool
How many invitations does IRCC issue in a given round
The above draws have a high cut-off because the candidates holding provincial nominations get 600 points automatically added to their total score and only the top-scoring candidates are the lucky ones to get invited.
Express Entry Processing is the most famous and fast-tracked immigration program of Canada that manages the job vacancy requirement of the country by inviting skilled international workers to permanently work and settle down in the country.
The Express Entry program has three sub-categories:
Express Entry uses the Comprehensive Ranking System score to invite candidates and the score is formed by various factors like age, education, work experience, etc.
After passing the eligibility score, IRCC issues a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) if the application gets confirmed.
