    IRCC Issues 1,980 Invitations in the Latest Express Entry Draw

    Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has recently conducted its third Express Entry draw of the month, extending invitations to potential candidates on 25th March 2024.
    In this latest draw, the department has issued 1,980 invitations to apply (ITAs) in a General category draw, maintaining its commitment to the Express Entry system.
    To qualify for consideration, candidates were required to meet a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 524, reflecting the ongoing competitiveness of the immigration process.

    If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
    This draw follows two previous Express Entry draws held on March 12 and 13, each with its unique focus and criteria.

    During the March 12 draw, which was a general draw, 2,850 candidates received ITAs with a minimum CRS score of 525, marking it as the lowest general draw score of the year thus far.

    Conversely, the March 13 draw took a different approach by focusing on transport occupations. Here, candidates needed to meet a minimum CRS of 430 to be considered eligible.

    It’s worth noting that this particular draw was the first of its kind since December 20, 2023, emphasizing the significance of diversifying draw criteria to address specific labor market needs.

    Since the introduction of category-based selection draws, IRCC has extended invitations to 2,645 candidates in transport occupations, demonstrating the effectiveness of targeted selection criteria.
