Alberta INP Invited 275 Express Entry Candidates on September 30, 2021
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) invited 275 Express Entry candidates in its immigration draw on September 30. The candidates with a score of at least 300 were invited to apply for the provincial nomination.
In the month of September, Alberta held four Alberta Express Entry Stream Draws with each of them having the minimum eligibility score requirements of 300 points. After the number of draws happened in the last month, the total number of invitations sums up to 1,610.
After the Pandemic slowed down a bit, Alberta started its draws in the month of January 2021 and has now invited 5,617 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination out of the total 6,250 nomination certificates that Alberta is allowed to issue this year.
Candidates who are invited from the Express Entry Pool for the nomination would hold a strong chance of receiving an ITA due to the automatic addition of 600 CRS points.
The Alberta Express Entry stream is an aligned Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) that allows the provincial government to search the federal government’s Express Entry pool of candidates for skilled workers to fulfill its employment requirement and issue work permits or PRs.
Express Entry Stream is further divided into three Federal High Skilled programs:
The Express Entry pool would check your eligibility based on your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score that depends on your age, education, work experience, language ability in English or French, and other factors.
Missed your chance? Don’t worry because Canada’s immigration department (IRCC) regularly holds Express Entry draws and invites the high CRS scoring candidates.
It is quite possible to Immigrate to Canada or Alberta itself through Express Entry Stream only, but for the candidates with a lower CRS score, PNP would add an automatic 600 points to their total score, which would further increase their chance of receiving an ITA for permanent residency in Alberta.
The eligibility criteria for the Alberta Express Entry Stream:
You need to have work experience in an occupation that’s in demand in the province according to the NOC list. (The AINP works in a slightly different way, it does not provide a list of eligible occupations, rather it offers a list of occupations that are not eligible for the stream.)
Your educational qualification should align with the Canadian system.
Having a job offer would increase your chance of nomination.
Having a residing family member can also help with your nomination.
You must have enough funds to financially support yourself in the initial days of your immigration.
