Express Entry draw on 24th May 2023

IRCC conducted yet another Express Entry draw of 2023. This marks the thirteenth Express Entry draw of the year so far.
A total of 4,800 eligible candidates were selected and issued the ITA in this case. This all-program Express Entry draw had set a CRS cutoff of 488 points to be qualified.
This draw was the following all-program Express Entry draw after April 26. The all-program draws indicate that the ITAs issued are to candidates from three different programs or the entire federal categories of the Express Entry:

The latest Express Entry draw was conducted on May 10, where a total of 589 eligible and capable, PNP applicants were provided the ITAs for the Canada PR. Those candidates were only considered if they were both in the Express Entry pool and also had a nomination from the Canadian provinces in any PNP-only draws.

    Express Entry in 2023

Express Entry has not yet developed a clear pattern in terms of the number of candidates invited, the frequency of drawings, or even the kind of draws, for the entirety of 2023.
The pre-pandemic pattern of two-week intervals and invitations to all programs’ applicants for draws continued in January. When the IRCC held four draws for particular programs between February 1 and March 1, this changed in February. The first FSWP program-specific draw took place in February as well.
Three draws were held in February, and one draw was held per week in March. Throughout March, around 21,000 hopefuls received invitations. In terms of ITAs issued in a single month, this was the second-highest total in Express Entry history.
The pre-pandemic schedule of one all-program draw every two weeks was resumed in April.
It is anticipated that IRCC would start organizing drawings later this year that focus on candidates for Express Entry based on particular qualities rather than a high CRS score. When Bill C-19 obtained Royal Assent in June 2022, this was made practicable.
