Ottawa, August 3, 2023 – In a significant move to welcome skilled immigrants with proficiency in the French language, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a targeted category-based Express Entry draw on August 2nd, 2023. A total of 800 candidates received Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in this latest draw.
The special draw aimed to prioritize candidates who possess French language proficiency, emphasizing Canada’s commitment to promoting linguistic diversity and cultural integration. Candidates with strong French language skills play a vital role in contributing to the country’s vibrant Francophone communities and enhancing Canada’s bilingual character.
To be eligible for consideration in this specific Express Entry draw, candidates were required to attain a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 435. The CRS score is a crucial ranking system used to assess the profiles of candidates in the Express Entry pool based on various factors, including age, education, work experience, and language proficiency.
Total ITAs issued: 800
Type of draw: French language proficiency (2023-1)
Date and time of round: August 02, 2023 at 13:50:04 UTC
