British Columbia PNP Issued 223 ITAs to Targeted Categories
The province of British Columbia held its latest Provincial Nominee Program draw on 30th March 2023. The draw invited 223 eligible candidates from various sub-categories of the British Columbia PNP.
Out of the total 223 Invitations to Apply sent, 165 belonged to the candidates of the Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes EEBC option)- Tech Category. The minimum CRS score for the category was 85 points.
23 ITAs were issued to the candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes EEBC option). The targeted category here was Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202) and the minimum CRS score for the class was 60 points. Another 23 ITAs went to the Healthcare class of the same category and the CRS cutoff for it was also 60 points.
Targeted draw: Other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104) candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes EEBC option) received less than 5 ITAs and the CRS cutoff was 60 points for them.
The remaining 7 ITAs were distributed among the candidates Entrepreneurs Immigration. The minimum CRS here was 115.
Important Points related to BC-PNP:
- The BC PNP will periodically ask individuals in the registration pool to apply to the program. The data provided in registrations serve as the foundation for ITAs.
- The registration data will be used to rank, choose, and extend invitations to the individuals most likely to satisfy the BC economy and labor market demands.
- Invitations may be sent to support B.C. government initiatives, including fostering regional immigration, assisting particular economic sectors, and promoting strategic pilot projects.
- To maintain uniform processing timelines for all applications and to support B.C. goals, the number of invitees and frequency of ITA drawings for all streams are managed.
