Manitoba, Canada – On September 21, 2023, the province of Manitoba conducted its latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw, extending invitations to a total of 620 candidates seeking permanent residency in the region. The draw, which was organized by Manitoba Immigration Pathways, saw candidates from various streams and occupational backgrounds being invited to apply for PR status.
The breakdown of the draw is as follows:
In this category, candidates currently employed in Manitoba in occupations identified as having high labor needs, based on data published by Statistics Canada, were eligible for consideration. The draw issued a total of 298 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), with the lowest-ranked candidate receiving a ranking score of 612.
The selected occupations came from the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 major groups 64 (Sales and service representatives and other customer and personal services occupations) and 65 (Sales and service support occupations).
Additionally, candidates from all occupations that were not selected in the occupation-specific draw were also considered, resulting in 239 more LAAs being issued, with the lowest-ranked candidate having a ranking score of 631.
Candidates who met the eligibility criteria for the International Education Stream were issued 56 LAAs in this draw. This stream is designed for individuals who have completed their education in Manitoba and wish to transition to permanent residency.
The Skilled Worker Overseas category invited 27 candidates who had been directly invited by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest-ranked candidate in this category had a ranking score of 723.
Out of the 620 LAAs issued in this draw, 59 were extended to candidates who had declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code, further highlighting Manitoba’s commitment to attracting skilled talent through the Express Entry system.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program continues to play a vital role in addressing the province’s labor market needs by selecting candidates who have the skills and qualifications required to contribute to the province’s economic growth and development. These regular draws are a testament to Manitoba’s commitment to welcoming immigrants and helping them build successful lives in the province.
Candidates who received an LAA in this draw are now invited to submit their application for permanent residency to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. Successful applicants will be on their way to becoming permanent residents of Manitoba, contributing to the province’s diverse and thriving communities.
