Manitoba Issues 250 LAAs in Latest PNP Draw for Skilled Workers Overseas

On June 25th, 2024, Manitoba announced its latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw, marking a significant issuance of 250 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to eligible candidates under the Skilled Workers Overseas category. The minimum CRS cutoff score for this draw was 516.
This draw specifically targeted candidates whose current occupation fell within specified healthcare roles, focusing on nursing professionals.

    More about the draw:

The draw, which targeted the occupation-specific selection criteria, considered candidates under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 categories related to nursing:
Among the 250 LAAs issued, a notable portion—93—went to candidates who had declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code, streamlining their pathway through Manitoba’s immigration process.
The draw’s competitiveness was reflected in the ranking score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited, which stood at 516 points. This score represents the benchmark against which candidates’ profiles are assessed for eligibility.

How does the Manitoba PNP work?

Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program plays a crucial role in addressing specific labor market needs of the province by nominating individuals who demonstrate the ability to settle successfully and contribute economically.
The program operates through various streams, targeting skilled workers, international graduates, and business investors. Candidates interested in Manitoba’s PNP must meet specific eligibility criteria and undergo a points-based assessment, which evaluates factors such as age, language proficiency, work experience, and adaptability to Manitoba’s community life.
Through these initiatives, Manitoba aims to attract individuals who can integrate effectively into the province’s diverse and dynamic workforce, ensuring sustained economic growth and development.
