Manitoba PNP latest draw invites 348 Apply for Canada PR Visa
On September 27, 2024, the province of Manitoba conducted its latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw, issuing a total of 348 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for the Canadian Permanent Residence (PR) visa. This marks the second Manitoba PNP draw of the month, with candidates selected based on specific streams and categories. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cutoff score was 582 for one of the categories, while the cutoff for the other stream remains undisclosed.
A total of 269 LAAs were issued under this stream, which focuses on candidates who meet the eligibility requirements of Manitoba’s International Education Stream. This stream is designed for international graduates from Manitoba institutions with skills in demand in the local job market.
This stream, aimed at candidates invited directly by the Manitoba PNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, issued 79 LAAs. The lowest-ranking candidate in this category had a CRS score of 582.
Additionally, of the 348 total LAAs issued, 56 were extended to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code, highlighting the importance of Express Entry in accelerating the PR process for skilled workers.
The Manitoba PNP plays a vital role in contributing to the province’s job market. By selecting individuals with in-demand skills, the program helps bridge gaps in sectors that face labor shortages. Graduates from local institutions, in particular, bring specialized knowledge that aligns with the needs of Manitoba’s industries, ensuring sustained economic growth and competitiveness.
