Manitoba PNP invited 438 immigration candidates for PR
On December 2, 2021, Manitoba held a draw, inviting 438 immigration candidates for provincial nominations through the following three streams of the MPNP:
The Canadian Express Entry stream is a federal immigration program that is quite popular for being the fastest immigration program. It is a management system for the following three federal economic immigration streams:
The Express Entry stream System ranks its candidates in the pool according to their CRS or Comprehensive Ranking System points. The CRS score is calculated on the basis of various factors such as the candidate’s age, work experience, education, and language skills among others. Later, the high-scoring candidates are given the Invitation to Apply for the Canadian PR.
The candidates are given two choices, the first is to apply through the direct Express Entry stream and wait for the ITA or to apply for the PNPs while being in the Express Entry pool, which can increase their chances of receiving the ITA as the provincial nomination adds an automatic 600 points to the candidate’s CRS score.
The province of Manitoba has its own immigration program, known as the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, that chooses, ranks, and invites the immigration candidates based on their skills and the demand of the province’s labor market. It invites the candidates to increase the valuable population of the province and in return, issues them with the Canadian PR. Although it is not in the hands of the provinces to issue the PR directly to the candidates, it chooses the profiles of the candidates based on their skills, through the PNPs, and sends them to the federal government to issue the PRs.
If the immigration candidates want to immigrate through this route, they must first submit an Expression of Interest to the MPNP. The applicants are later entitled to an LAA through the Skilled Workers Stream and Skilled Workers Overseas streams of the Manitoba PNP, as a result of this.
Manitoba’s immigration department assigns candidates a point value out of 1,000. (CRS).
Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams are MPNP subcategories that allow skilled foreign workers to relocate to Manitoba.
To be eligible for this program, candidates must have an in-hand job offer from a Manitoba firm, as well as links to Manitoba, prior experience in the province, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.
