The most recent PNP draw was held in the province of Manitoba on December 1st, 2022. 305 people from different streams were chosen at random to participate in the PR.
206 of the 305 LAA issued in the most recent draw belonged to applicants under the category of Skilled Workers in Manitoba. This category’s lowest score was 775.
The qualified applicants from the international education stream received 56 LAAs. While the remaining 43 LAAs were distributed to Skilled Workers Overseas applicants. The MPNP sent out the invites as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, and the minimum score needed to be eligible was 673.
The rest of the 31 LAAs were issued to the candidates from the Express Entry stream, who had proved a valid Express Entry code and Job Seeker Validation Code.
Between September 15 and October 6, 2022, an update to the Expression of Interest system was made. There were no draws made at this time.
The number of EOI profiles for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program continues to surpass the program's capacity due to the project's high level of demand.
Since the EOI process was reactivated, draw scores have been higher than in previous drawings. On November 17, 2022, draws started off again.
Expressions of Interest from applicants who are Skilled Workers Overseas have only been taken into consideration if they meet one of the following criteria:
They were explicitly welcomed by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative,
They have a current Express Entry profile number and Job Seeker validation code.
Individuals who are invited and provide a Job Seeker validation code and Express Entry profile number are only qualified to be nominated if the Express Entry profile is active at the time of the application evaluation.
In this draw, candidates who declared they were employed in a regulated profession and held a valid Manitoba work permit were chosen. However, applicants who are not genuinely engaged in a regulated occupation and/or who fail to present proof of having completed all required licensing processes to be employed in Manitoba may have their whole applications rejected by the MPNP. You might want to think about rejecting your letter of advice to apply if this applies to you.
All applicants for the Skilled Workers Stream are required to construct an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRC) provides a certain number of nominations to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) each year (IRCC).
To use the complete allocation of nominations through the EOI draws, the MPNP invites a commensurate amount of applicants to be filed. In a given year, the MPNP can only accept as many applications as there are available nominations.
People who want to move to Manitoba may also be qualified to do so through a federal immigration program. The IRCC website has more details on federal immigration policies.
