Ontario Conducts Its First In-Demand PNP Draw

On April 11, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held a fresh invitation round. Invitations were sent to applicants from the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream for the first time this year in this draw. The draw distributed 295 ITAs.

Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream draws

Periodically throughout the year, lotteries are held for the OINP Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream. Depending on the demands of the program and the number of applications in the system, the frequency of the draws may change.

The dates of upcoming draws and the number of invitations to be given are normally made public in advance by OINP. The minimal score needed to receive an invitation to apply (ITA) might, however, vary from draw to draw as it depends on the number of applicants in the pool and the requirements of the program.

Who is eligible for the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream?

Employer Job Offer Eligibility for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Candidates for the In-Demand Skills stream must satisfy the following requirements:

Hold a job offer for a full-time, permanent position in a qualifying occupation in the construction or agricultural sectors from an eligible business in Ontario.
Work Experience: Have a minimum of nine months' worth of experience working in the appropriate occupation over the last three years.
Education: Possess a high school diploma from Canada or its equivalent.
Show language ability in either English or French at a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4 or above.
Have enough settlement money to maintain themselves and any dependents when they arrive in Ontario.
Legal Status: If applying from within Canada, you must be legally able to do so.
