PEI is Holding PNP Raffle to Welcome 161 Immigrant Applicants
The most recent draw brings the number of solicitations given for this present year by Prince Edward Island through its appearance of interest framework to 1,194.
The Prince Edward Island’s province held its customary month to month immigration draw on August 19 welcoming an aggregate of 161 immigration competitors through PNP.
The majority of invitations, 152, were for Express Entry and Labor Impact applicants. The remaining nine invitations were for Business Impact applicants who achieved 72 or more points in the province’s immigration system.
This is the eighth drawing of the year organized by the Maritime Province of Canada and brings the total number of invitations issued so far this year to 1,194.
PNPs permit Canadian provinces to pick immigrant candidates who meet the needs of the labour market. This applies to Prince Edward Island, which is administered by the Prince Edward Island Nominee Program i.e.
PEI PNP according to guidelines approved by the federal government.
The next PEI-PNP draw is scheduled for September 16, 2021.
Understanding the PEI PNP Express Entry category
The Express Entry category of the PEI PNP is an extended PNP, which means that it is connected to the Federal Government’s Express Entry System.
To be considered for this flow, applicants must have a profile in the system.
Express Entry is basically an immigration application manager, processing applications for three economy class immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.
Eligible applicants receive a Comprehensive Classification System (CRS) score for their age, work experience, education, and English or French language skills.
Express Entry applicants who receive a provincial nomination will receive an additional 600 points on top of their CRS score and will effectively receive an invitation to apply i.e.
ITA for permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry raffle.
To be considered for appointment in the Prince Edward Island Province, applicants for Express Entry must complete an Expression of Interest Profile (EOI) with the PEI PNP.
EOI profiles are awarded points, based on the province’s unique point grid. The most highly qualified applicants are then asked to apply via a monthly competition.
Work impact category or Labour Impact Category
The labour impact category is aimed at foreigners who have a valid job offer on P.E.I. and are supported by their employer. It is divided into three components: skilled worker, critical worker and international graduate.
Applicants in this category must also submit an Expression of Interest to be considered for a provincial nomination in the labour impact category.
Business Impact Category: Understanding
Applicants lying under this category have to meet the provincial minimum score if they have to proceed with the applications. The point numbers vary for each draw. Today’s invitations at P.E.I. were given as per the Work Permit Stream aiming to assist the foreign business owners to operate a business on the island.
