    Express Entry Draw

The latest round of Express Entry invitations was conducted by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
On July 12th, in a category-based draw focusing on French language proficiency, the department issued invitations to 3,800 candidates. These candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 375.

    Details of the draw:

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

Here is an overview of the most recent Express Entry results:

July 11 On July 11, IRCC conducted an all-program draw, inviting 800 candidates. The minimum CRS score required for these candidates was 505. Although this score was higher than the three category-based selection invitations from the previous week, it was lower than the score of 511 required for candidates in the July 4 draw.
July 4th to July 7th  Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted draws on four consecutive days.
On July 4th, an unexpected all-program draw took place, with 700 candidates receiving invitations. These candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 511. This score represented the highest requirement for any all-program draw in 2023 so far.
The second draw, held on July 5th, was highly anticipated as it marked the first-ever round of invitations specifically targeting candidates with work experience in select science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) occupations. IRCC invited 500 candidates in this category, with a minimum CRS score of 486. The draw was announced one week in advance.
On July 6th, the third draw of the week occurred, targeting healthcare professionals through an expected category-based selection. IRCC invited 1,500 candidates in this draw, and the cut-off CRS score was 463.
The fourth and final draw of the week took place on July 7th, with 2,300 candidates receiving Invitations to Apply (ITAs). These candidates were selected based on their strong French-speaking abilities, and the minimum CRS score required was 439.
As outlined in the Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has set targets for the admission of new permanent residents to Canada through Express Entry.
By the end of 2023, IRCC aims to admit 82,880 new permanent residents through the Express Entry system. This target is projected to increase to 109,020 in 2024 and further rise to 114,000 by 2025. These targets demonstrate the government’s commitment to welcoming a significant number of newcomers to Canada while bolstering the country’s workforce.
To achieve these goals, IRCC has implemented new Express Entry categories that are designed to ensure that immigrants entering Canada contribute to meeting these targets and contribute to the strength of the Canadian labor market. These measures are part of the broader strategy to facilitate the successful integration and economic participation of newcomers in Canada.
