Alberta has a systematic selection process quite similar to the Federal System. The point-based system awards points to candidates based on their credentials. To be eligible, you need to score at least 67 points out of 100 for various factors like age, educational qualification, work experience and English language proficiency.
Other factors such as arranged employment in Alberta, as well as Adaptability factors, can also help you score some points.
To get selected by the province of Alberta, you must have an Express Entry profile. Candidates who are suitable for Express Entry get the nomination by Alberta after scoring the minimum scores on the Alberta points calculator.
The province decides who will be given the Notification of Interest (NOI) based on their scores on the Alberta points calculator. The Express Entry Stream is streamlined with the Federal Express Entry Program, and there is no separate AINP points calculator for the selection of candidates. Those who score 67 points out of 100 are eligible to apply for AINP.
