How To Apply For The Ontario PNP?
There are two pathways available:
Pathway 1
- Step 1: Review the eligibility criteria for various immigration programs.
- Step 2: Select the immigration stream that best suits your circumstances.
- Step 3: Submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) to the OINP.
- Step 4: Alternatively, you can directly apply to the program.
If you opt to submit an EOI, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Your application joins a pool of candidates.
- Step 2: The Ontario PNP evaluates your profile.
- Step 3: Candidates with the highest-ranking scores receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) via email.
- Step 4: You have 90 days to complete and submit the online application.
- Step 5: Provide the necessary documentation.
- Step 6: Attend an in-person interview with the OINP.
- Step 7: Upon completion of the interview, sign the Performance Agreement.
- Step 8: The province of Ontario issues a Letter of Confirmation.
- Step 9: Once sent to the IRCC, you receive a temporary work permit.
- Step 10: Upon meeting specified terms, you can apply for a provincial nomination.
- Step 11: Await the provincial nomination decision.
- Step 12: Upon successful application, obtain the OINP Certificate of Nomination.
- Step 13: Apply for permanent residence.
Pathway 2
- Step 1: Familiarize yourself with the eligibility criteria of the Express Entry system.
- Step 2: Set up a profile in your MyCIC account on Express Entry.
- Step 3: Make a note of the job seeker validation code and the Express Entry profile number.
- Step 4: To qualify for OINP express entry immigration programs, you must meet the requirements of:
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Step 5: Your application enters the Express Entry pool.
- Step 6: The province identifies potential candidates.
- Step 7: If deemed suitable, you will receive a Notification of Interest (NOI).
- Step 8: Submit your application to the OINP within 45 days.
- Step 9: Upon submission, receive an email confirmation.
- Step 10: If selected, you will receive:
- A nomination certificate
- Work permit support letter
- Nomination approval letter
- Step 11: Ontario PNP will input the provincial nomination details into the Express Entry system.
- Step 12: Accept the provincial nomination within 30 days
- Step 13: Upon acceptance, your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score will increase by 600 points.
- Step 14: Subsequently, receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the Express Entry draw.
- Step 15: Submit the permanent residency application within 60 days.
