      The Quebec Skilled Worker Program is for candidates with skilled work experience and who can contribute to the economy of the province and plan to settle in Quebec. The Program does not require French proficiency and also considers English speakers who wish to settle in Quebec.

      What Is Arrima Online Portal?

      The Quebec Ministère de l’Immigration, Francisation et Integration (MIFI) manages the applications for the Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW) program via the Arrima portal.
      Applicants who wish to apply to QSW need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) form online with the required information about language proficiency, work experience, a field of training, and education. Based on their scores, candidates then enter the pool from where MIFI select candidates to apply for a CSQ.
      After the invite, candidates have a stipulated amount of time to submit a complete application. Applications submitted via the Arrima portal for CSQ gets processed within six months.

      The Quebec Skilled Worker Visa Program operates through a Declaration of Interest system. As an applicant, you must create a profile in the form of an Expression of Interest, which is then placed in a pool of applications. Each stage has specific prerequisites that must be met, and a minimum points threshold must be reached at each stage for your application to proceed.
      Here is an overview of the Quebec skilled visa process under the new Quebec Skilled Worker Program:
      Create an Expression of Interest (online profile) with MIDI. Include all family, work, and background details in the profile. Prior to this, it is important to demonstrate sufficient funds and Quebec immigration points.
      Draws will be conducted, and applications are selected from the Expression of Interest pool based on points and various undisclosed parameters. Selected applicants will receive an invitation to apply for a Quebec Skilled Certificate (CSQ).
      After completing Invitation to Apply (ITA) formalities and submitting a CSQ application, you must apply for a permanent residence visa to the Federal Government upon receipt of the Quebec Skilled Certificate.
      Upon completing your ECA and Language tests, you’ll accumulate adequate FSTP points to craft an Express Entry profile for the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
